The Czech Republic has not adopted the European Model Parking Card, and issues its own model (called Badge O1). The EU Model Parking Card is likely to be adopted in 2011.


Parking spaces

 

Those reserved for a Parking Card holder are marked with the wheelchair symbol.

 

Do not park if the space is marked with someone's name or a licence plate number.

 

Where you may use your Parking Card

 

Czech disability Badge 01 holder

Badge 01 may not be accepted in some other EU and EEA member states, or in those countries that will accept only the EU Model Parking Card - ask locally.

 

Visitor to the Czech Republic

Visitor from another EU / EEA member state – you may use your Parking Card in the Czech Republic, provided it is:

  • The European Model Parking Card, or

  • It shows the international wheelchair symbol

Visitor from outside the EU / EEA - you may use your Parking Card in the Czech Republic, provided it shows the international wheelchair symbol.

 

Parking on roads

 

Do not park on a road where parking is prohibited.

 

Do not drive or park in a pedestrian or other restricted zone.

 

You must pay to park where payment is required and not exceed the paid-for time.

 

Do not exceed the time limit on a road where parking is free but is restricted by time.

 

Parking in car parks

 

You may have to pay to park – check the car park notices or ask an attendant.
