Central and Eastern Europe

Welcome to the Central and Eastern Europe section of the FIA Guide for the disabled traveller. Currently we have information on eight countries. Read this page, and then click on the country you intend to visit

Central and Eastern Europe countries are not part of international agreements encouraging reciprocity for Parking Permit holders. However, several will recognise the Parking Permit of a visitor, while others may not. This is explained under the heading "Where you may use your Parking Permit".

"You may use your Parking Permit in _ _" means that reciprocity has been confirmed by an FIA motoring club or government expert, or both.

"We are not able to say if you may use your parking Permit in _ _ " means we have been unable to get information on reciprocity - you should ask locally before you park.

"You may not use your Parking Permit in _ _ _ " means we have been informed that it will not be recognised and you are not eligible to the parking concessions shown in the Guide

What you should always do:

  • Check the entry in the Guide.

  • Check locally by asking if your Parking Permit will be recognised - local people, police and parking officials will want to help you so do not be afraid to ask.

Always - ask locally, park sensibly and safely, obey the rules, enjoy your visit!

Footnote: We have made every effort to ensure the information in the Guide is correct but cannot be held responsible for errors or omissions. You must always check the parking signs and ask locally if your Parking Permit / Card will be recognised. Only take advantage of parking concessions when you are completely satisfied it will be recognised.
