Latvia has adopted the European Model Parking Card.


Parking spaces

 

Those reserved for a Parking Card holder are marked with the wheelchair symbol.

 

Do not park if the space is marked with someone's name or a licence plate number.

 

Where you may use your Parking Card

 

Latvian Parking Card holder

You may use your Parking Card in most EU and EEA member states, and in some other countries around the world.

 

Look at the entry for the country you intend visiting to see if your Parking Card can be used.

 

Visitor to Latvia from other countries

Visitor from another EU / EEA member states – you may use your Parking Card in Latvia.

 

Visitor from outside the EU / EEA – you may not use your Parking Card in Latvia.

 

Parking on roads

 

You may park on a road where parking is prohibited but only to get in or out of the vehicle and to load or unload goods, for no more than 5 minutes.

 

You may park in a zone where all vehicles are prohibited but you must not cause an obstruction or danger.

 

We have no information about pay parking, or free parking with a maximum time limit - check the parking signs or ask locally.

 

Parking in car parks

 

Parking concessions vary for both state and privately operated public car parks – check the parking notices or ask an attendant.
